Rainbow moonstone, also known as white labradorite, is actually a variety of labradorite that exhibits flashy colours and rainbows throughout. Rainbow moonstone deposits can be found in Sri Lanka, Australia, Mexico, Madagascar, Poland and India.

Ancient Roman soldiers believed moonstones absorbed the rays of the moon.
